Sorry if I should have tagged this onto the other thread, but its a little different...
I have a nestbox up my plum tree - and currently it has blue tits in. They hatched about 7-10 days ago, and up till last Thursday the parents were in and out constantly, and really noticeable. Its now Saturday, and we havent seen the parents at all.I had a look from a distance this morning, and there are still scufling noises in the box,and there was a beak in the doorway - should I intervene or leave alone?? Ive never had a nestbox before,so I really dont know what to do,Ive emailed the RSPB,as the phones are shut till uesday, our RSPCA arent terribly useful when it comes to domestic animals,so I dont hold out a huge amount of hope for wildlife, but I dont want to leave them if I cna help in any way???
Ive got live mealworms - should I poke some of them in and hope for the best or what???
( oh, and hello everyone!! )
