Location: 5 miles north of Basingstoke

Most common visitors: wrens, bluetits, blackbirds, starlings, wood pigeons, collared doves, magpies, chaffinches, greenfinches, dunnocks and sparrows (back garden). Green woodpeckers and jackdaws, (front garden with frequent visits from some of the back regulars). Winter regulars are long tailed tits, goldfinches black caps and great tits. We have lots of other visitors, but not on a regular basis.

Favourite food (back garden only): mealworms, raisins, and I use the no mess mix, but the millet is always last to go. Chopped apple occasionally. Teasels. They also like my currant bushes - which I don't cover. I have planted bird friendly shrubs - elder, guelder rose, pyracantha. I garden organically so rely on the birds (and beneficial insects) to get rid of the pests.

Regards, Kerry

Location: Chinnor, a village in South Oxfordshire.

Common Visitors: House sparrow, starling, collared dove, wood pigeon, chaffinch and greenfinch

Fave foods: High energy no mess in hanging feeders and Gourmet Robin Blend loose on metal tray. (Pigeon, dove and starling eat most of this)

Home made fat squares are another favourite but nobody gets a look in once the starlings spot them. Tend to feed these on winter time.

Location-Wiltshire

Common Visitors- Great Tit, Blue Tit, Sparrows, Robin, Green Finch, Gold Finch, Chaffinch and Blackbird on the feeders and bird table. Wood Pigeon, Collard Dove and hundreds of Starlings on the ground feeder. We had a Thrush in for a while but she seems to have disappeared now. We have also had a Sparrow Hawk in the garden as well. She has had two kills in our garden now, a bit grisley to see, but facinating. I only hope she didn't take our Thrush. :(

Favourite Food- Hi energy no mess seed mix in the feeders and bird table.Hi energy no mess ground blend on the ground feeder and a Robin food bar. (Fat)

Location - North Somerset

Common visitors - Sparrow, Starling, Dunnock, Robin, Blackbird, Great Tit, Blue Tit, Coal Tit, Greenfinch, Collared Dove, Wood Pigeon, Magpie.

Favourite food - I generally make up my own mixes, varying ingredients for different birds. The two main ones are porridge oats, mixed fruit, chopped nuts, suet, and also black sunflower, wheat, rape, linseed, nyger. I do add bits from one to another if the experimental mood takes me, just to see if it is consumed more quickly. The tits love black sunflower and peanut hanging feeders so that keeps them away from the larger birds.
