Why can photos only be viewed by forum members?

Hi,

I would be interested to know why photos can only be viewed by registered members of the forum - so far all the photos I've looked at are attachments to posts and are only accessible to members.

I don't know for sure but I would have thought it encourages people to join the forum and take an active part here.
I feel happier knowing my photos can only be viewed by a registered member of this community as opposed to anyone happening along from a search engine. I show my photos for fellow members to see.
