Is it too late to put boxes up?

Is it too late now to put any nest boxes up? I wasn't able to do anything about them until now but think it may be a bit late.

Not at all - get them up anyway - not all birds are even thinking of nesting just yet. Some won't until late April.

I doubt the birds will mind whatever method you choose, but personally I'd go for drilled holes + rawl plugs + screws.
