A good day with the birds today, the black woodpecker showed up again this timeabout 20 yards away so thats the closest yet, i reckon he is slightly bigger than a jackdaw. but never stays more than 30 seconds at most.
a chicken walked into the garden lol, so i picked her up and put her with ours until i can find the owner.
i saw blue tits great tits and a very beautiful pair of crested tits, blackbirds of which one has 2 legs but only one foot (poor might) robin ,wren ,tree creeper, crows,wood pidgeons,collared doves,great spotted woodpecker, nuthatch, jay, magpies, sparrows and a red squirrel. so it was a eventful day, but no finches today or thrush. starlings moved on months ago, i know they are around but just not here,
lets see what we get tomorrow lol.
and so i dont forget, everyone have a wonderful xmas and be safe. i know you will all feed our feathered kids, dont forget those little pieces of fat from the meat over the holidays.
