are there any good ways of attracting wild animals, like hedgehogs, rabbits etc? and also attracting different sorts of birds like blue/great tits etc? I live in the country and I have seen rabbits in my area but never actually in MY garden lol. I have seen them mostly in a horses paddock but I have seen them on another persons lawn so they are around lol. I don't think there are any foxes or squirrels in my area though but we do get pheasants occasionally as well. :)

we have a patch in the garden that we leave sort of wild, we heap dried elaves etc so our hedgehogs can hide even though we bought a house for them off CJW we have never checked if they use if for fear of disturbing them. We have one eyar had 3 hogs , 2 adults & an offspring. we stil get one call each night around 9pm we leave bowls of water aroudn the garden and we did at oen tiem buy hog foos but was not that keen, it prefered kitten food sachets or peanut droppings from bird feeders. We don't use insecticides at all in the garden nothing that will harm wildlife, we did onee had visiting aquirell which we did not know about but did wonder why all our nut feeder emptied so quick then we saw the squireel on day it went round the garden burying nuts. then only animal I don't like visiting my garden is cats! They leave their mess behind but never in their own garden!!

Thanks, we have left a pile of dried leaves in one corner, but it's in the front garden so I don't know if anything would be happy to live there (even though it's about 50 feet back from the road) the back garden isn't really manicured either lol, and actually backs on to farmland (with a dyke inbetween) and thick hedging and trees (mix of deciduous and evergreen) on 3.5ish sides. We have plenty of birds including the odd pheasent and I know there are rats lol, but they aren't really proper wildlife I don't suppose. (even though there are some in the dyke the size of small cats lol) we have a few cat visitors in our garden that we feed but they aren't a problem, they don't harm by veg or plants so I don't mind them, I haven't noticed if they do their business in their garden because we have three quarters of an acre so I don't really mind lol. Thanks again! :D
