I have a "medium" sized garden about 150ft long and 40ft wide. I live in a quite wooded area near to a racecourse. The view from my garden consists of a mixture on mature large trees, 5 of which are very old and big Oak Trees. I'm sure this is why I get a good selection of birds.
My full "garden" list is:

Interesting to see the Ringed- Neck Parakeet listed as one of the birds that visit your garden.
With a bit of luck they might even make it to the South Coast.

Peter - you never know! They're multiplying in such numbers here in Surrey and the London area that at some time they will have to spread out.
Here's a taster of what you might expect.

My almost winter resident male blackcap this year seems to have developed a liking for hanging on the peanut feeder. I suppose he has been watching the sparrows and decided to copy them.

Hi Barn Owl - haven't seen one yet this season; but I'm crossing my fingers.
So pleased to report that a female Blackcap started visiting last Friday - yippee. It was still there yesterday but I've been out (shopping - groan) all day today. Hope it's going to be around for a bit.

Hi Morgannon
They do seem to be spreading North. How far is "North East"?
(If you're happy to tell me this - please pm me if you don't want your location revealed)
I'm doing a very amateur study of the missing Parakeet roost in Surrey!

I live in Stockton-on-Tees, just across the river from Middlesbrough(should be well known due to the Middlesbrough Football Club).
Though i'm not sure if they're from a roost, we quite often get random escaped birds. Usually Budgerigars though last summer we looked out the window and got the suprise of seeing a Mackaw on the feeders. No kidding, heh. It sure suprised us, hehe.
