Help!!!!

At first we thought it was cute! We had a male cardinal who would come up to several windows in our house and tap the glass. This has occured for 2 weeks and has no sign of abating. At first we thought it was just his reflection he was seeing, but he visits at all times of the day. He has now grown obsessive. So I am thinking he is quite able to see in. Any thoughts on discouragement?

You are lucky, the male cardinals are really beautiful birds.:) It may be that he can see the red reflected in the window and thinks it is a rival and keeps trying to chase himself away! Perhaps he thinks that his mate needs to be defended, how about propping up a piece of paper along the bottom of the window so that he can't see himself. This might do the trick for a few days, and then hopefully he will turn his attention somewhere else.
