Just a short note to let you know that the new web-site for rECOrd - the Local Record Centre for the Cheshire region is now operative (albeit with a need to shoe-horn in further content). The URL is: www.rECOrd-LRC.co.uk (http://www.rECOrd-LRC.co.uk)
This new site allows users to search the rECOrd database for species records and to map the data as an interactive atlas.
We would welcome feedback - problems, navigation, usability - as
well as suggestions for how we could improve the site to help
yourselves in your recording activities. Feedback would be best by e-mail if possible ( (http://uk.groups.yahoo.com/group/CheshireArachnids/post?postID=heZ1qYtdyRCT4HpV7MBENk0JZWqDXTP1VbdUZ-fMHvliCjwRj3DIrnwlZhEDWJ7BarsOFlEL6pnTtZ5A)).
It would be helpful if you could sign-up amd log into the site as this way we know who is using the facility. Evidence of use helps us to pursue funds to keep the site and the centre open.
