Kestrel and peregrine!! Wow! Which bit of the Wirral? My parents live in Claughton and have a good variety of garden birds, but no birds of prey... yet!

Hi Masie
We live in Wallasey. Right by the station, so a lot of overhanging trees and bushes.
I think the Kestrel lives down the other end of the railway line, so he visits once in a while.
The Perguine just came by one day, and literally took one of our sparrows away! Have not seen him for a while, here's hoping though.

Nice. We don't get any Kestrels in my garden/area, though probably because we have so many larger birds of prey instead.

Hiya Jilla.
I see you've not had any greenfinches..... thats strange.

My mistake, I forgot to put down the greenfinches. We get quite a few all at once, then they disappear again. We have loads of long tailed tits at the moment, which are a delight. Still waiting for the chaffinches and also the bullfinches (hopefully) this year.
