Lovely pics Sally. My Greenfinches also like the black sunflower seeds best.

I love greenies :) So much so that we have about 7 of the little square plastic Gardman feeders in the front garden. At peak times, our greenies can empty 5 of them in one day!

We probably get about 30-40 of them at once. They love evergreen trees, and we have a few cedars which they enjoy.

They were on my nyjer seed feeder yesterday, managed to get one of them on my video camera. I took a still on it & if it has come out ok I'll post it later.

How did you get him to smile for the camera? I think his beak looks a bit like that Rod Hull's emu from the side shot! (Am I showing my age here?)
Good shot - by the time I've sized up and zoomed in, pressed the button, the birds have gone and I end up with a photo of an empty feeder!
