It was nice to see your shot of the Great Crested Grebe carrying her young :) .
When & when was this taken?? The reason I ask is that on 1st April we saw a pair at Stourhead engaging in their courtship display.

Hi Mike - It was good to see your picture first as this is almost a follow up!!

It was taken last July on a reservoir by Calke Abbey in Leics. We just pulled up to have a look and I only saw the two adult Grebe in the water and one on a nest at the side. I didn't realise the young were there at all until I put the photo's onto the computer at home - I was amazed.
