As mentioned on other postings, there's a lot of building going on in our small town (circa 1000 people) and we're losing a lot of trees. This year, for the first time, I've seen two treecreepers together in the garden and am wondering whether a nest box is a worthwhile investment. Okay, not for this year, but for future years as I'm keeping my trees and planting some more to replace ones I know will have to go in due course as they're gettingdodgey.

Anyone got a treecreeper nest box could give help, please?

Hi Jenny

This is the first year that we have put up a treecreeper nest box. We put it on the tree that the birds favour and do you know what? Not one bally treecreeper has visited the garden this year - arghhhhhhhhhh!

Never mind, it can stay put now and perhaps they'll come back later.

Regards, Kerry

ive never known tree creepers to use nest boxes, but then i have loads of trees so you never know, someone did tell me once that if you make the nest box look like a tree they will use it more, for example putting bark on the outside of the nest box.
good luck on them.
