This is the first year I'll be feeding the birds that visit my garden all year round. My garden is not particularly large so my question is does one continue feeding the same amounts and the same food-types during the warmer months?
Presently I have been feeding SF Hearts, BSF seed, Niger seed, Hi-energy seed, Fat-balls, Fat-cakes and a ground feeding station for Robin food and treats.
Would you consider a smaller size of feeder for the Summer months?

Appreciated,

Personally I tend to feed the same foods and the same amounts. The only exception is that at this time time of year I also feed live mealworms.

I do the same as Dougied, Gandalf. Except for the mealworms, but am about to give that another go after some embarrassing situations!!

Incidentally, fat cakes are also much appreciated by hedgehogs who will also clean up any remaining seed on a ground feeder table given half the chance and that's after scoffing their hedgehog mix!

Many thanks to you both for the replies. Interesting fact about hedgehogs I didn't know.

Cheers. :D

Quite true. Our hogs get spilt seed and muesli, cat food, suet cake, and hog food. *burp*

And yet they can still move fast when they want to on those little legs!
