For the last 7 days (17th March onwards) Goldfinch chicks have been visiting the feeders in our garden. Surely this is early for chicks to be around. Photographs available for verification

That sounds incredibly early for Goldfinch. Goldfinch are known as one of the later breeding birds, so that the young have a plentiful supply of thistle seed available.

I believe you can add photos on here by clicking on the 'manage attachments' button below where you type a message (not 'quick reply'). A small window should pop up.

You browse to the photo on your computer and after selecting the image, click 'upload'. You will see when the image has uploaded, and you can add a total of 5 by repeating the process.

Close the window when finished and proceed with your post in the usual manner.

You will need to make sure each image is below 200kb in file size and no more than 800 pixels along the longest length. See example below.
