Do birds get drunk?

The snow on the driveway today reminded me of a photo I took last year of the bird tracks. Personally, I'm blaming chaffinches for this - they seem incapable of either flying or walking in a straight line!

Must have been a WOODPECKER who had a SWIFT one but found it too hard to SWALLOW!!!:)
