The Island Swans have 6 eggs in the nest at the moment, the jetty swan has lead poisoning she could hardly eat when she first came to me but is getting better all the time she is not very steady on her legs, she comes and has a bit of quiet time and she opens the gate on her own when she goes! the Great spotted is on the tree above the island swans and the Moorhen is on the side of a boat nearby. I am trying to get the treecreeper soon. Bye for now...

Smashing photos Simon - even without ducklings, they make me smile! Hope the jetty swan makes it o.k. I've had a pair of mallards in the garden each evening for the past fortnight eating under the feeders and then they fly off back, I presume, to the lakes about half a mile away. The male actually stands guard whilst the female eats and only when he is confident that there is nothing else around does he take a few pecks at the grain. :):)

Great piccies Simon, good ones of the Woodpecker. And like the way the swans seem to be tidying up their nest.. Let's hope the Moorhen's chicks hatch safely..;)

Love your pics, Simon! The Island Cob is obviously ready to repel all boarders, and what a great nest site of the Moorhen's! I imagine the boat is moored permanently. I had photos I took of Greater Spotteds on the feeders once, but they were total rubbish, no way like yours. They do seem to be not that easy to capture. Am looking forward to pics of the Treecreeper.
