My jetty duck has hatched, it started monday evening, she tried to tempt them out on tuesday but they refused to go. She got them out this morning with a bit of help 11 in total. We will have to see what happens over the nexy few days. The penthouse duck should hatch mon 3rd may will keep you posted...

Thank you so much for giving us this link earlier (the guys in the miniature boat!) the photos are amazing - you are so so lucky to be able to enjoy such wildlife on your doorstep. It really is amazing - please add more photos!!!

Wonderful, Simon! However, I can only see 9 ducklings now. Have two already gone to that great duckpond in the sky?

Jandy. Yes she lost one on the first night and the second the next day. We have had two other clutches one 12 & one 14 with no survivors, another hatched yesterday with 9 and my penthouse duck hatches tommorrow, we have got a lot of pike round here and i have seen a crow take one...

Simon, what are those ducklings doing - they're not supposed to be have a bath in their grub bowl!! They really are incredibly cute. How nice that they come back to your jetty.....:)

After being stars in the newsletter another few photos.
Yes only 7 I think the others have been taken by pike which the mother can not be blamed for...

That's sad - losing another two. Good job she had so many to start with. They have grown loads, and look twice the size. Hopefully not as vunerable to predators now.... I just love the pictures at feeding time. So funny....;)

They are getting bigger by the day. Ther wings are still out of proportion but will grow quickly now,i will try to get them trying to start to fly, its so funny...
