Great pics. The colour accuracy is spot on. Must have a very good camera.

Fabulous, Sue. I was going to say 'I love the Starling' but, on reflection, I'd be hard pressed to pick a favourite.

Hi John,
Thanks for your comment. I get so frustrated with my birds as they fly down and ignore me when I am feeding them but as soon as I get the camera out they fly off.
I can sit so still and quiet for hours but as soon as I come indoors they all flock down. Now I am resigned to taking pictures through the window.
You have some great pictures and I am envious of the chaffinches as have at least a dozen but cannot get a picture. There is one photo of your blackbird that I love.
Regards
Sue

Thanks for comments Pine,
I use a Nikon D50,Nikon D80, and Nikon 300 to take photos, but have taken some great pictures with a compact digital camera with a 10 x optical zoom. Look foward to seeing your photos

Thanks Polly,
Keep patient and the birds will trust you. I am disadvantaged as I have 3 cats but only one is a hunter so manage to get photos as I keep him under control as best as I can. I Keep him in early morning, mid afternoon and twilight otherwise there would be no birds in my garden.
Blackbirds and Robins will feed from your hand when they feel safe.
Keep trying

Sue

Fabulous photos. Do you make any special adjustments for the glass? I can get some reasonable shots through my patio doors, but nowhere near as clear as yours. My camera is a Canon EOS 400D and most of my shots are taken with my 75-300mm zoom lens.

Hi
All I do is try to keep the window as clean as possible both inside and out and when taking the photo put the camera as close to the glass as you can get it.I have diagonal leaded windows so that makes it more difficult to get a good shot. Keep trying and if anyone else has any tips that would be good. Best of luck

Two more really super shots, Sue. The GS woodpecker in particular is a real tour de force.
