Hi, Lisa! I hope you can give me some advice - I have been trying to install an avatar for myself, and after following the instructions, and in spite of the avatar being under the max size, nothing happens after I've selected it. There doesn't seem to be an "Upload" button.

Hi Jandy,
Use an image re-sizer on all your up loaded pics, go to user cp at top of page, browse to find your pic, and save changes...i think this is what i did to get my pic of Golden Beach in Thassos on....Steve

Thanks for your advice Steve - the trouble is, when I clicked on User CP, and on Edit Avatar, I got a default of 'Do not use an avatar", and no amount of clicking on this would clear it. I have a feeling that without clearing this option, the system will not accept my avatar. That is why I was trying to contact Lisa. I even sent her an email, but no reply.

Then click on custom avatar, this will clear the '' do not use an avatar'' button....Steve

I did exactly as you said, but after clicking on 'Save Changes' I got the message 'This is not a valid image file'. I don't know what makes a valid image file, as my pic is just the right size.

As you can see, I have now overcome the problem, but in order to do so I had to choose a different photo. Apparently the system didn't take to my original choice!
