A couple of weeks ago a male Wren built a nest in one of my Blue Tit boxes. I knew he would build a few more before the female decided which was to her liking.

Today both Wrens were present at the box and a lot of activity commensed for all of the morning. With what was going on it would seem that the Tit box has been accepted.:)

This afternoon a pair of Blue Tits came in and started removing the nest material from the box.

Although it seems they haven't removed too much before leaving I was wondering if anyone else had come across this behaviour and who ended up as the successful occupant?

I wait with interest as to what the Wrens will do as they weren't present this afternoon when the Tits came a calling.

My heart hopes the Wrens will continue to use the box but my head thinks either the Tits will take over or neither will use it now.:(

I never thought I'd ever see a Blue Tit as the 'bad guy'!!

These birds never bother to read the catalogues! I had a wren raise a brood on the bat box once. Luckily it had never attracted any bats.
