Love to know what you mean about 'Blackburn' Is it a nickname for a 'Blackbird' in your part of the world. I just know it as a place name, so the name has been taken as a 'pun' for a Blackbird? :D

Just wondering ... as we do.

I have never heard of the expression until I joined another forum related to birds, and Blackburn was used. It is an unusual name I have to say.

Rather have Blackbird as a name myself to be honest.
