For the first time ever, in my life, I saw 2 waxwings in the rowan trees at the top of my cul de sac. They were such beautiful birds. I had to stop the car for a good look much to my neighbours annoyance!!

I'm so jealous! :) I think they're such pretty birds and a search on google images shows that lots of photos of them in the UK are from a road 5 minutes walk from my house. Yet I have never seen one.

We had them in the garden once, they came after I left for work and departed before I returned! I think I might have preferred it if my next door neighbour hadn't bothered to tell me.
