Can I Replace a Blue Tit Nest Box

Hi, My father has had a family of blue tits returning to nest in his box for several years now. However his box needs replacing and he is worried that if we replace it they will not return? Can anybody offer some advise please.

Hi, replacing the box should not make any difference, if the box has been used more than two or three times the chances are it is not the same tit, it would help if you put your new box up in the same position and as soon as you like, good luck.

Agreed, we have done exactly that - and the visitors still returned.
